Brand storytelling is using a narrative to communicate a brand’s values while building a strong relationship between brand and stakeholder.

I was always interested in brand storytelling, even before I studied it. I’ve always been taken by storytelling and creative writing was the first major of my undergraduate degree. I feel that I have an intimate understanding of brand storytelling and even more so now that I have studied this module.

However, I did not just study this module because I wanted to understand the brand storytelling of organizations and personalities, I also studied it so that I could refine the storytelling of my personal brand.

Brand storytelling is the cohesive narrative that weaves together the facts and emotions that your brand evokes. In addition to giving your customers reasons why they should buy a product or service, businesses need to start sharing the story behind their brand, why it exists, and why this matters, consistently across all communication.
Brand storytelling is no longer a nice to have. It is a need to have, and what will ultimately maximize your business’s visibility, profit, and impact. Treat it as a compass for your marketing strategy, and the result will be a brand that is as profitable as it is captivating.
