When done well, content creates brand equity, meaning: your brand becomes more and more valuable over time as you continue to create valuable content. And the more you help your audience, the more your brand will gain a reputation as a leader in your field.

Content marketing is focused on creating and sharing valuable and relevant content that attracts and acquires a clearly defined audience. The ultimate aim of content marketing is to convert your content’s audience into profit generating customers and brand promoters.

I’m quite fortunate because I’ve had quite a bit of experience with producing lots of different content types, so I already had half of the grounding of what content marketing covered before I started to study this module.

While all the courses in this module were invaluable, I found Copyblogger’s Internet Marketing for Smart People series to be even more educating about how to produce and share effective content that generates marketing success.
