“Ideas don’t come from manuals or excel sheets. They come from putting an interesting mix of creative people together from diverse backgrounds to figure out a solution that hopefully results in “happy accidents” that can change everything.”
Van Wyk, Creativity: how collaborating can help us change the world, thedrum.com, 06/03/2019
Creativity, otherwise known as the use of imagination or original ideas to create something, is process of evolution that is vastly more fruitful when it has many contributors. Furthermore, creativity, collaboration and change very much all go together when utilized in the processes of creative producing or entrepreneurship.
Creativity, collaboration and change were huge parts of my undergraduate degree and the various practical projects I produced therein. However, I have included a strong focus on creativity in my MTA portfolio because I wanted to understand the creative process more fully from both a practical and theoretical perspective.
Being able to master the creative process from a range of perspectives so that you can use it to generate new ideas, build relationships and bring about positive change is an invaluable skill for any person of any profession.
