Independent filmmaking is concerned with film production and distribution that occurs outside of major film studios and entertainment distribution companies.
Creative producing is at the heart of filmmaking and it is very fitting that there is a module on independent filmmaking included, because one of the progenitors of my MTA Portfolio was a filmmaking project.
Filmmaking was a huge part of my Bachelor’s degree so I already had grounding in the practicalities of filmmaking.
While there were still some technical aspects I wanted to figure out, this module more so exists so I could delve into the legal and business aspects of independent film production and distribution.
